TV and radio available. Heating with logs from own forest in a stove and electric heater. Water is fetched from the well and has to be carried in. Electric lights. Sauna (in common use) is heated in the evenings - here fins do wash themselfs. Wood-burning sauna stove and water heater in the sauna. Water is fetched from the well or the lake to the sauna building. Brand-new eco toilet in the cabin (but no bathroom).
The log cabin with electricity (built in 1986) is situated 110km from Rovaniemi to the southeast, 30km from the centre of Ranua to the east at the lake Saarijärvi at a peaceful head of a bay of its own. Beach, swimming platform and rowing boat in common use with the other guests.
The cottage is situated in a small eco resort in the middle of private wilderness. Two log cabins, 2 Tentsile tree tents and 2 rooms in the main house as well. The cottage is a suitable starting point for different outdoor activities in nature, such as snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking and biking, berry and mushroom picking as well as fishing and hunting.
Attention! Final cleaning up (€45) is not included the cottage rent. We have a cat and puppy dog living on the property!
