Metsä Kolo is a private and absolutely sustainable hideaway just 1,5 hrs from Rovaniemi. The core values of the wilderness resort are an easy-going and ecological lifestyle, slow travel as well as locality.
The "Forest Nest" consists of typical Finnish log cabins, the main house with few rooms at a lake in the middle of a private wilderness. Metsä Kolo offers luxury added to a very rustic and ecological Finnish cabin experience. All three log cabins are equipped with high-quality beds and textiles from natural materials, as well as kitchen utensils, and fresh water is fetched from an own well.
At the Metsä Kolo dining table locally produced ingredients as well as organic food are served and a responsibly managed forest property offsets the travel emissions of guests. The electricity used in Metsä Kolo is renewable energy.
